This delightful concoction combines the rich and creamy goodness of hot chocolate with the warm and comforting kick of bourbon and coffee liqueur. Trust us, once you try this unique cocktail, you’ll never want to go back to regular hot chocolate again!

Hot chocolate is regular hot chocolate spiked with alcohol. You can use store-bought hot cocoa mix, but of course, the best way to make this drink is to make it yourself. It only takes 5 minutes to make.

Ingredients
- Milk
- Hot cocoa mix of choice
- Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- Bourbon
- Coffee Liqueur
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Toppings: Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder, marshmallows, chocolate syrup, or crushed up candy canes are great options.

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk the milk, over medium-low heat until the mixture is hot, a simmer but not boiling. Be sure to whisk continuously to prevent it from burning.
- Once the mixture is hot, add the hot cocoa mix and chocolate chips and mix until the chocolate chips melt. Give it a good stir to combine all the flavors. Remove the milk from heat and stir in bourbon and coffee liqueur. Mix well or froth.
- If you want to get a little fancy, grab your hand mixer or whisk and whip up some fresh whipped cream. It’s the perfect finishing touch for this indulgent drink.
- Pour the spiked hot chocolate into your serving mug or glass and top it off with a dollop of whipped cream. For that extra touch of elegance, sprinkle some chocolate shavings, marshmallows or cocoa powder on top.
